Cost of course: $100
plus your jumps which are $50 per jump (your slot and instructors slot)
with a minimum of 2 jumps - possible 3
So.... $200 plus applicable uspa rating fees (which will be submitted upon completeion of the course)
There is classroom time friday night - starting around 6:00 - usually going until around 11:00 in which we will discuss the materials in the IRM and SIM that pertain to the coach rating.
To be successful each candidate must score satisfactory on 2 teaching sections from category A, and on several topics for ground preparation for group free fall skills (cat. G and H.)
You also get evaluated on in air skills. You must score satisfactory on 2 evaluation jumps.
And each candidate must score at least 80% on a written exam. It is an open book test. The questions are in the back of the IRM, so are the answer sheets.
All candidates must complete the written test prior to attending the course. For those who show up without the test completed ,or do not score at least 80 % on the first test, a 100 % score will be required on the test that is taken during the course.
Also, if you guys will send me your email address, (stacey@ skydivealabama.com) I'll foward you our AFF syllabus we go by for our ground shool and you can look over it and if you are coming out this weekend, you could get a headstart on teaching a portion of a mock ground school. IF we aren't busy, let's plan it - Jon is up for listening - if you are up for getting it done.
